Active Blackpool Booking Cancellation & Refund Policy
Active Blackpool aims to provide a quality and consistent service for all our members and customers.
This policy sets out Active Blackpool’s guidelines which will be followed in the event of booking cancellations and outlines what can be expected regarding refunds.
If a class or booking needs to be cancelled, we will endeavour to give members as much notice as is reasonably practicable which may vary dependant on the circumstances of the cancellation.
We will notify members via social media, app notification, email or telephone to avoid unnecessary trips. It is the member’s responsibility to ensure that contact details held on their account are up to date to facilitate communication.
Pay As You Go members who have paid in advance for the class or booking will either be offered a refund or the option of transferring the booking to the next available date.
The cancellation cut off period is 2 hours. A booking must be cancelled 2 hours before it is due to start otherwise it will be recorded as a non-attendance.
Cancellations can be made easily through the Active Blackpool app, on the ‘My Bookings’ page. They can also be made through member’s online accounts and through reception.
Pre-paid bookings cancelled prior to the cancellation cut off period are not eligible for a refund but will be offered a transfer to another session. Transfers will be permitted a maximum of 3 times. Cancellations made after the cut off period will not be eligible for transfer or refund.
A ‘three strikes’ rule is in place for non-attendance. Any member who is recorded as not attending a booking three times within a 28 day booking period will have their pre-booking privileges suspended for the following 7 days.
During a period of suspension, members will still be permitted to attend classes or activities, but only at the time if there is space available; booking in advance will not be allowed.
It is the members responsibility to check in at the centre for any booking they have. Checking in is possible through reception, the kiosk or using the self check in tiles with the Active Blackpool app. Forgetting to check in will not be accepted as a valid reason to challenge a booking suspension.
An online form is available for members who feel they have a valid reason to challenge their non-attendance suspension. Challenges will be considered on a case by case basis and responded to within 3 working days. The form can be found at the bottom of this page.
