At Active Blackpool, we recognise the dedication, commitment and hard work it takes to compete at the highest levels of sport. We are proud to support talented local athletes by providing access to our leisure and fitness facilities through our Sporting Excellence Pass.
Whether you compete on the track, in the pool, on the pitch, on the mat, or in any other recognised sport, we want to help you achieve your goals.
The Sporting Excellence Pass offers free use of Active Blackpool facilities, giving athletes the opportunity to train, recover and prepare for competition in a supportive environment.
We believe that local sporting success inspires our communities, encourages participation and showcases the incredible talent that exists across Blackpool. Our Sporting Excellence Pass is one way we can help athletes continue their sporting journey and reach their full potential.
Who can apply for a Sporting Excellence Pass?
To be eligible for a Sporting Excellence Pass, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
Be a Blackpool resident with an address that falls within the Blackpool Council boundary.
Be a member of a recognised sports club based in Blackpool, Wyre or Fylde.
Represent their county or country in competitive sport.
We welcome applications from athletes across a wide range of sporting disciplines.
What happens next?
To apply for a Sporting Excellence Pass, simply complete the short application form and provide supporting evidence to confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria.
Evidence can be attached directly to the application form.
Examples of acceptable evidence may include:
- Proof of Blackpool residency.
- Confirmation of membership from your sporting club.
- Evidence of county or national representation from a recognised governing body, club or competition organiser.
Applications will only be approved once all supporting documentation has been received, reviewed and verified.
Your Sporting Excellence Pass is valid for 12 months from the date it is issued and can be reapplied for each year, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.
