School Games at Active Blackpool
At Active Blackpool, we know how important it is for young people to be active and gain skills through working together.
That’s why we are proud to work with local schools to run the School Games programme and celebrate our fantastic young people with events and festivals throughout the year.

What is School Games?
The School Games is a programme which puts physical activity and school sport at the heart of schools, providing young people with the opportunity to learn through competition to achieve their personal best.
In Blackpool, we work with 48 schools (Primary, Secondary and Special Schools) to deliver targeted opportunities for young people from a wide variety of different sports and activities through competitive events, participant and inclusive festivals.
This includes the annual Blackpool Youth Games which sees over a thousand children engage in various sporting events and activities across the event.
All the programmes are led by our School Games Organiser who collaborates closely with their schools and Active Partnerships to create meaningful opportunities for children and young people.
