Health Coaching at Active Blackpool

Do you have respiratory issues but want to improve your health and wellbeing?

Our Health Coaching service is designed to help you do just that.

Let us tell you a little more about it.

What is Health Coaching?

Health Coaching is a series of sessions designed to help you develop your own unique skills to build your confidence and take control of your own health and wellbeing.

 

With the support of one of our fabulous Health Coaches, you’ll work together to establish realistic healthy behaviours so you can achieve your goals.

 

We’ll begin your journey with a welcome meeting with your coach so together we can explore if this is the right time for you to start your health coaching.

 

If we decide that health coaching can support your respiratory condition then you and your coach will explore the health coaching commitment and start to identify what is most important to you.

 

You’ll then work together to health coach to set goals and plan your journey. These sessions can take place over the phone, face to face or a mixture of the two to make sure we can support your steps or goals.

How can Heath Coaching help me?

It can help you to manage your health conditions

Lifestyle can have a dramatic impact on pre-existing health conditions. If you have received health advice for a condition but struggle to integrate this into your life, you may benefit from health coaching.

 

It can help you reduce stress and your low mood

Physical and mental health are interlinked, and difficulty in one area can often have an impact on the other. We can help you identify activities which improve your mental health and wellbeing and address barriers to you being active.

 

It can help you lead a more active lifestyle

Increasing activity can help improve quality of your life, health, and wellbeing. However you may face multiple barriers in relation to mobility and confidence due to health conditions that can decrease activity levels.

Day to demands on time or modern living such as desk jobs, increased car use and sedentary leisure activities can contribute to high levels of inactivity. Health coaching can help you explore this and identify unique ways to increasing activity in your life.

 

It can help you develop a healthier diet

A healthier diet can help manage health conditions and reduce risk of future ill health. Together we can to identify the reasons you have have a less healthy diet and work to find realistic healthier alternatives.

 

It can help you lower or maintaining weight loss.

You may want to lower your weight due to health concerns or simply want to feel more comfortable in your body. We can help you develop a plan to find what changes in life-style are realistic and sustainable for you.
