Swimtag is a great training aid for swimmers of every ability, helping you to ‘See Your Swim’.
The best thing, it’s completely free to all our members so why not give it a go!
What is Swimtag?
Swimtag is a watch style band that you wear whilst you swim.
With built in sensors, it registers your movement which means the band will track your activity automatically and doesn’t require any set up.
It tracks your stroke, counts your lengths and registers your timings in the pool – it even knows when you’re ‘resting’!
Using Swimtag can help you stay motivated in the pool by joining a community of swimmers in Active Blackpool and throughout the country.
There are also loads of free challenges available to take part in for every ability. Whether it’s swimming a 4km section on the River Thames or an epic 5,700km swim around Japan, there’s plenty to keep you busy….
How do I use it?
Using Swimtag couldn’t be easier, just tap your card at the docking station at reception. A green light will appear on one of the bands and that one is ready for you!
Just pop the band on your wrist and go for your swim.
When you’ve finished, bring your band back to a receptionist and they will return it to the dock to recharge and download your swim information.
After you’ve used it for the first time, you’ll need to visit the Swimtag website to register (you can only do this once you have completed a swim).
When you’re registered, you’ll receive a email every time you complete a swim and can log on to the website or the Swimtag app to view your progress.
