At Active Blackpool we know that exercise in water can offer many additional benefits.

Water Wellbeing sessions provide a gentle and effective option suitable for you whatever your fitness levels and if you have existing health conditions.

Regular physical activity can have a positive effect on both your physical and mental health.

Why not add something different?

 

Water Wellbeing sessions take place in a pool, utilising the unique properties of water to promote health and wellness.

An Exercise Referral instructor will be present on poolside throughout the session to offer you assistance and advice.

The session can be tailor-made for your needs with the instructor guiding your activity during the sessions.

They will provide you with a range of a low-impact and highly effective workouts that improves physical fitness, flexibility, and mental well-being.

Taking advantage of the buoyancy offered by water can take the pressure off your bones, joints and muscles. It also offers natural resistance, which can help strengthen your muscles.

Aquatic exercise can have many other health benefits, including improved heart health and reduced stress. It also can improve joint use and lessen pain if you have osteoarthritis.

Exercising in the water can be a great way to add physical activity into your life.

The sessions take place at Moor Park Health & Leisure Centre on Tuesdays from 11.30am to 12.15pm.

They are open to all Exercise Referral members.
