Take a look below to find out more about how Good Boost can support you.
What is Good Boost?
Good Boost is a fun, gentle exercise programme designed to help you move more, feel better, and improve your overall wellbeing.
Delivered in our swimming pools, sessions use simple tablet technology to guide you through a personalised workout, tailored to your health, ability and how you’re feeling. This means you can exercise safely and at a pace that’s right for you.
Good Boost is ideal for people with bone, joint or muscle conditions, those with limited mobility, or anyone looking to build confidence in the water, including expectant mums.
Sessions take place in our main pool, making them more accessible than traditional hydrotherapy. You’ll have your own tablet to follow, with a friendly instructor on hand to guide and support you throughout.
Using clinically developed technology, Good Boost offers a simple, effective and enjoyable way to stay active in a supportive and welcoming environment.
What does attending a Good Boost class involve?
Good Boost classes last for either 30 or 45 minutes.
At your first class, we’ll get you started on the tablet, you’ll create a simple account and enter some basic details about your health. Using this information, Good Boost will create a personalised pool-based exercise programme designed just for you.
Each time you attend, you’ll follow your programme using the tablet provided. Every exercise is clearly explained with step-by-step instructions and short videos, so it’s easy to follow along at your own pace.
Our friendly instructors are always on hand if you need any support.
As you continue, your programme adapts to help improve your mobility, balance, strength and overall fitness. You might try exercises such as running punches, ankle touches, hamstring curls and shoulder circles, all tailored to suit your individual needs and ability whilst the water reduces stress on your joints.
What are the benefits of attending Good Boost sessions?
Reduces Pain
Exercising in water relieves pressure on your joints (up to 90% less), helping to ease stiffness, muscle tension, and ongoing pain.
Improves Mobility
The gentle resistance of water supports movement, helping to build strength, flexibility, and balance without putting strain on your body.
Boosts Confidence
Many participants notice a real increase in confidence within just a few weeks, making everyday movement feel easier and more manageable.
Builds Social Connections
Sessions are delivered in small, supportive groups, creating a welcoming environment where you can meet others and feel less isolated.
