What are Ramblers Wellbeing Walks?

Wellbeing Walks Meeting

Ramblers Wellbeing Walks are short walks ranging from 30 to 60 minutes that take place across Blackpool.

The walks are designed to help you take the first step towards better health, wellbeing and happiness.

We want to get you out of the house, stretch your legs and enjoy the fresh air.

We plan our walks to include some of the most scenic locations around town such as Stanley Park, Herons Reach, Martin Mere and the Promenade.

All our walks are led by our fabulous Exercise Referral team with the help of volunteers and are a relaxed and sociable way to get your daily exercise.

Never been on a Ramblers Wellbeing Walk?

Here’s a little information that you might want to know before you do.

We want you to enjoy your walk so make sure you’re wearing comfortable shoes that won’t rub.

We live in Blackpool so we know how changeable the weather can be, layers of clothing are best so you’re prepared for anything!

Wearing an SPF is always recommended as you’ll be outside, but this is especially important in warmer weather.

We’d always recommend bringing a bottle of water along to keep you hydrated.

If it’s looking a little grey outside, a raincoat or umbrella might come in useful!

Absolutely not, the walks are for all ages and abilities and are designed specifically for people who want to become more active.

It’s important that you walk at a pace that’s appropriate for you.  Our leader and volunteers will mingle throughout the group to make sure everyone is doing well.

If you are suffering from heart problems, please consult your doctor before joining a walk if  you don’t exercise regularly.
