Water Wellbeing at Active Blackpool

Active Blackpool is proud to be an accredited partner of Swim England’s Water Wellbeing Programme.

Using the natural benefits of water, our sessions are designed to help you feel more confident, move more comfortably, and enjoy being active in a supportive and welcoming environment.

If you’re looking for a gentle, enjoyable way to become more active, improve your health, or manage a long-term condition, Water Wellbeing could be the perfect place to start.

What is Water Wellbeing?

Water Wellbeing is a national programme that helps people become more active through swimming and aquatic activity. It is particularly beneficial for those living with long-term health conditions, returning to exercise after illness or injury, or anyone who finds traditional forms of exercise challenging.

Exercising in water can feel much easier than exercising on land. The water supports your body, reduces pressure on joints and muscles, and allows you to move with greater ease and confidence.

Whether you’re new to exercise or looking for a low-impact way to stay active, Water Wellbeing provides a safe and enjoyable option.

Regular swimming and aquatic activity can help improve fitness, mobility, strength and mental wellbeing, while also supporting people living with a wide range of health conditions.

It’s a great way to take positive steps towards better health while enjoying the social benefits of being active with others.
